Volunteer

We cannot operate without volunteers who are committed to the varied work needed to keep our organization running. If you would like to be a volunteer, please send us an email at companioncats@yahoo.com.

• Open your home and foster a cat(s)
• Help clean and feed the areas provided for our shelter cats (scoop, fill bowls and pet a lonely kitty)
• Help set-up or tear down at adoption events
• Transport animals to/from adoption events
• Counsel potential adopters
• Take photos and/or videos for our Petfinder postings or Newsletters (they really help get each cat noticed)
• Take time to observe our cats and keep up-to-date information about their personalities, likes, dislikes, etc.
• Write those heart-touching bios for the cats listed on Petfinder.com
• Plan fundraising events
• Coordinate our volunteer program
• Plan marketing/advertising campaigns to find homes for our foster cats
• Write grant proposals (we have someone to guide you through the process)
